Job Overview

The Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, installation, and ongoing optimization of the Salesforce platform at an enterprise level. This role supports a Salesforce ecosystem including CRM and Education Cloud, and plays a key role in governance, release management, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce across CRM and Education Cloud environments, configuring objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and automation; manage user access, roles, profiles, permission sets, and data security.
  • Ensure platform stability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Lead data quality initiatives through audits, reporting, and automation, and manage data imports/exports and deduplication processes (e.g., Data Loader, Demand Tools).
  • Monitor storage, capacity, and system performance.
  • Define, build, and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision‑making; partner with stakeholders to identify KPIs and reporting requirements; leverage analytics to drive data‑informed improvements.
  • Manage deployments across environments and support release management processes.
  • Participate in and contribute to Salesforce governance structure and roadmap planning.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, proactively assess impact, and communicate upcoming changes, features, and enhancements across the organization.
  • Research, recommend, and manage App Exchange solutions.
  • Support integrations with third‑party systems and vendor tools.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for Salesforce users and systems, including onboarding, enablement, and adoption initiatives to ensure a consistent user experience across all departments.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, QA, product owners, and business teams in an Agile environment; participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience and certification).
  • At least 10 years of experience as a system administrator, with at least 4 years within a Salesforce environment.
  • Must have Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
  • Extensive system administration experience in all functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, case management, and capacity and storage management of an enterprise platform.
  • Experience working in Agile Development Methodology and using project management tools like JIRA.
  • Exposure to Salesforce apps such as Conga, Demand Tools, and Form Builder.
  • Experience administering enterprise CRM systems, managing projects, and leading process improvements.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, work one‑on‑one with customers at all levels, deliver end‑user training, and create documentation and training materials.
  • Strong understanding of standard Salesforce objects and best practices, reports, workflow rules, approval processes, validation rules, record types, and page layouts.
  • Enterprise perspective to solution design, ability to envision new methods, embrace change, and pursue continuous improvement.
Work Environment & Hours

Possible nights and/or weekend work during deployments. Requires onsite work a minimum of three days per week, with the on‑campus requirement subject to modification based on organizational need.

Compensation & Benefits

Exempt position with a pay range of $115,184 – $127,982, plus potential bonuses based on performance and budget. Full‑time employees working at least 28 hours per week are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, group life and long‑term disability insurance, business travel accident insurance, and mental health benefits. Time off includes 3 weeks of vacation annually, 2 weeks of sick time, 1 week of paid family illness time, 6 weeks of paid parental leave, and 12 paid holidays per year.

Retirement benefits include participation in a 403(b) plan with mandatory employee contributions and a 4:1 employer match. Additional benefits include wellbeing programs, virtual fitness platform, and employee assistance program.
