THE OPPORTUNITYThe Junior Network Technician assists network staff with daily operations and offers support for various projects. This position involves implementation of network infrastructure (configuration and deployment) as well as day-to-day production support and customer interfacing opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Utilize port inventory data to continue Babson's campus wide wired port reduction initiative.
- Survey WiFi signal strength using specialized equipment as directed by NEO Staff.
- Assist NEO staff with scripting and small software projects as directed.
- Create logical diagrams of network closets using software as directed by NEO staff.
- Assist NEO staff with configuration, deployment, and installation of network switches.
- Assist NEO staff with troubleshooting and problem resolution for Tier 2/3 escalations.
- Adhere to NEO documentation standards when creating MOPs, SOPs, and other work documentation.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.
- Some classes towards a Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to think creatively and solve uncommon issues.

This is an on-campus position expected to work approximately 35 hours per week September 8th through December 15th 2026.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVESome prior experience within IT a plus.
This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $25.00. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
