The Board of Trustees is actively seeking leaders whose accomplishments have been forged in higher education, business, entrepreneurship, or the intersection of these worlds. The Board believes the College’s next President should embody the entrepreneurial mindset that defines Babson itself. Above all, Babson seeks a bold, strategic, and collaborative leader who can champion innovation, inspire a vibrant academic community, strengthen global partnerships, elevate the institution’s influence, and ensure Babson continues to define what entrepreneurial leadership means in a rapidly changing world.

The President of Babson College is the chief executive officer, reporting to the Board of Trustees. In partnership with the Board, the President develops and articulates a compelling vision and a corresponding strategy for the College’s future. The President serves as the College’s primary global ambassador and chief fundraiser, building relationships and leading the strategic vision of the institution. The President serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and all Board committees.

Babson College’s 15th President will lead a thriving institution that has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal and others as a global leader in business and entrepreneurship education. Babson College’s strategy is built around a community-developed and market-informed approach to empower learners anywhere to create lasting economic and social value for themselves, their communities, and the world. The core of the strategy is “Entrepreneurial Leaders Impacting Communities Everywhere,” in which the community focuses on educating and advancing entrepreneurial leaders, creating new learning pathways and engaging ecosystems to enable entrepreneurial leadership without boundaries.

Babson College seeks a strategic, imaginative, and institutionally grounded leader, ideally with experience at the juncture of higher education and business. Leadership experience in either field would also be valued, as would candidates from other sectors. Business experience with exposure to the higher education operating environment would allow an understanding of the evolving business models in both spheres and the ability to diversify revenue while keeping academic excellence at the core.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree, ideally a terminal degree, and an appreciation for shared governance.
