Transfer Haul Operator – Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF)

The Town of Wellesley is looking for a full-time Transfer Haul Operator. The incumbent operates and maintains transfer haul vehicles and heavy equipment used to transport solid waste and recyclable materials; performs loading, baling, compacting, screening, grinding, and material handling operations at the RDF; and is required to participate in the Town's recycling program and the DPW's snow and ice control operations.

The incumbent must ensure the safe operation of all vehicles and equipment and follow all required RDF safety procedures.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
; a valid MA Class B CDL with air brake endorsement; a valid MA Hoisting Engineer’s License (2A-1C); at least six months of truck driving experience; and an excellent driving record. Additional requirements include knowledge of Class B vehicle operation, operator maintenance procedures, and RDF safety procedures; the ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds;
Certified Public Weigher certification; proficiency using hand tools; and willingness to work scheduled overtime and irregular shifts as assigned.

Salary range is $24.51–$33.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
