Position: 80% Teacher Elementary‑Art at Rice Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. Work days:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (no Thursday).
Work calendar days: 188. Duration:
Ongoing.

Pay is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on experience and education. Range: $58,000 - $89,278 annually (for a 100% assignment starting August 6, 2025). These rates are based on the 2025-26 school year and will be updated during negotiations for 2026-27.
This is a probationary position. PSD employees under a licensed contract may apply and will retain contract status if selected.
Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.

Responsible for instructing elementary level students in appropriate subject areas in coordination with current curriculum and within the framework of District and state content standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop, plan, prepare, and implement
- Course content, format, structure, and schedule.
- Individualized programs of instruction for students.
- Classroom materials and curriculum.
- Lesson plans and learning activities.
- Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
- Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
- Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise the behavior and well-being of students, and administer discipline when appropriate.
- Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in various ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
- Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation relevant to academic, social, and emotional progress.
- Communicate students’ progress and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
- Collaborate
- With teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.

- Bachelor’s degree with a proper teaching licensure program required.
- Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.

- Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
