We currently have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for you to join our Project Management Office as a PMO Coordinator, based in either our FMG Wellington, Palmerston North or Christchurch Office.

About this role

In this role you will be providing programme coordination for multiple projects to assist the Programme Management Office and Project Management team to effectively deliver the FMG change programme of work.

The responsibilities of this pivotal role include but aren’t limited to:

  • Assisting project managers to manage project plans and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget;
  • Assisting with preparation of the monthly governance reports; organizing governance meetings, distributing papers, recording minutes and actions;
  • Monitoring project schedules and progress against what is planned by utilizing relevant programme delivery management tools and preparing required updates for the Programme Management Office;
  • Scheduling and organising regular project ceremonies; including regular iteration planning days and project ’show & tells’;
  • Monitoring and administering time recording and time reporting for projects;
  • Performing various administrative duties as and when required, such as organising team events and
  • Performing Project Manager duties on projects as and when required.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in coordinating projects and/or programmes and events; be naturally sociable with the ability to bring diverse people together; show initiative and be a self-starter; and enjoy working in a vibrant team environment. You will be an active listener with excellent written and oral communication skills. An excellent working knowledge of MS-Office is required, and knowledge of MS-Project would be advantageous.
