Responsibilities
Registered Nurse (RN) ER Clinical Supervisor Day Shift. Wellington Regional Medical Center, located in Wellington, Florida, is a 235‑bed acute care hospital committed to advanced technologies and patient safety. The role supports a compassionate team dedicated to quality care and professional growth.
Job Requirements- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
- Current Florida nursing license.
Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi‑disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff to obtain safe, optimal health care outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Performs all roles and responsibilities of the ED nurse and responds to Inpatient Stroke Alerts. Assists the ED physician with patient evaluation, assists the ICU nurse with initiation of thrombolytic therapy (mixing, administration and monitoring) and preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated.
Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke related training annually.
Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
