To be a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner day position for Surgical Services at Wellington Regional Medical Center.
Wellington Regional Medical Center is a 235‑bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. It is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. and has been providing high‑quality healthcare services in Palm Beach County since 1986.

Qualifications- Certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner by the Florida State Board of Nursing, with BSN, MSN.
- Current ARNP license in the state of Florida.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Previous OR experience (minimum 1 year).
- Basic computer skills.
- CNOR preferred.
The Surgical Services Nurse Practitioner is a clinical expert in the management of individuals and groups of surgical patients. The role involves managing resources to attain high‑quality, cost‑effective care and ensuring continuity between clinical practice and standards of care. The NP will work within the operating room and other similar settings, assisting the surgeon with specific intraoperative procedures. The scope of practice includes utilizing the nursing process to perform comprehensive pre‑operative patient care management, intra‑operative surgical first assisting, and post‑operative patient care management.
The NP works interdependently with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. The NP possesses extensive knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, and uses this knowledge to analyze, direct, and facilitate the pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases of superior surgical patient care.
The NP may interview clients, obtain and record health histories, perform physical and developmental assessments, order appropriate diagnostic tests, diagnose health problems, manage the health care of those clients for which the NP has been educated, provide health teaching and counseling, initiate referrals and maintain health records. The NP works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and all other health‑care disciplines utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and may be required to cross‑train and float to meet the needs of the institution.
