Schedule

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM

On-Call Requirement: Yes – 2 weekends and approximately 15 on-call shifts

Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (clean/clear, no disciplinary actions)
  • Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) acute care experience
  • Neuro/stroke experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR required
Position Summary

The Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with professional licensure, hospital standards, and regulatory requirements. The RN will provide care across the full continuum of IR services, including assessment, preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide competent, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
  • Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, including system-based evaluations
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify patient needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on clinical judgment
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery, responding promptly to changes in condition
  • Support admission, procedural, and discharge workflows in accordance with hospital policy
  • Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory guidelines
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations
  • Deliver patient- and family-centered care with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
