We’re on the hunt for a detail‑obsessed Logistics Coordinator (0.5 FTE) to help move the magic behind WOW – managing everything from competition garments arriving from 20+ countries to sending extraordinary artworks out into the world for events and exhibitions.
This part‑time role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and problem‑solving and gets a kick out of being a logistics magician. One minute you’re working with Mainfreight (our incredible shipping partner) on international container movements. The next, you’re untangling customs paperwork for a three‑metre sculptural garment that absolutely must arrive in Wellington on time.
You’ll be the calm, clever problem‑solver that our global whanau of wearable art designers cherish, as you ensure their precious wearable art is shipped safely.
Responsibilities- Coordinating garment freight for competitions, exhibitions, and special events
- Managing both international and domestic shipping logistics
- Solving complex material, customs, and import/export challenges
- Building great relationships with designers and freight partners
- Finding smarter, smoother, more creative ways to get things done
- Supporting the wider Wearable Art and Competition teams on a range of glorious and unexpected things that can only exist at WOW
- Experience in logistics, freight, or events (international shipping = gold)
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
- The clearest of communication styles and genuine care for the people you’re helping
- Work with deeply passionate people and support talented creatives from all around the world
