BARGAINING UNIT/SALARY LEVEL:
This is an adjunct contract, in-person position on campus in Wells, ME and surrounding clinical settings. The pay for this position is $52.00 per hour commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Unit.
SUMMARY
York County Community College (YCCC), a dynamic institution with a proud 30-year history of transforming lives and communities throughout York County, Maine, is seeking a passionate and innovative individual to join our faculty as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Nursing Clinicals in Labor and Delivery, Long-term Care, and Med Surg. These roles are critical in delivering high-quality clinical instruction, fostering nursing competencies, and preparing students for academic and professional success in nursing and healthcare-related fields.

Dutiesand Responsibilities
1. Instructional Delivery:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in your subject area to students face-to-face in the classroom.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student comprehension of course materials.
- Utilize technology and multimedia tools to enhance instruction, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
2. Course Design and Preparation:
- Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments, to align with current academic standards and professional expectations in your field.
- Ensure that course content is relevant, up-to-date, and reflective of current trends and advancements in the subject area.
3. Student Engagement and Support:
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Provide timely feedback and guidance to students on their academic progress, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
- Maintain regular office hours for student consultations and academic support.
4. Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess student performance through quizzes, exams, assignments, projects, or other activities to evaluate their understanding and application of course concepts.
- Use formative and summative assessments to measure learning outcomes and adjust instruction accordingly.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues in your department to ensure consistent delivery of curriculum and alignment with program goals.
