POSITION: Contracted Private Duty One-on-One in school support Nurse (RN, LPN considered) at Wells Elementary School, to start as soon as possible. Schedule is Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess current RN License, and possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification.

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for an elementary school student with complex medical needs during the school day. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct medical care, supporting daily activities, and collaborating with school staff and the student’s care team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

• Provide skilled nursing care during school hours for a student with complex medical needs
• Administer and manage tube feedings, medications, and other physician-ordered treatments
• Monitor for and respond to seizure activity, following individualized seizure action plans
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of care provided and student health status
• Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and medical professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Support student participation in classroom and educational activities as well as mobility throughout the school environment
• Uphold infection control and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and positive attitude

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine, LPN considered
• Experience with tube feedings and seizure management required
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• School nursing or one-on-one private duty experience a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be dependable, organized, and flexible
• Ability to respond to medical emergencies in a calm, efficient manner
