About the RoleThe Field Engineer is an entry‑level, hands‑on position that supports the installation of precast concrete structures. Working closely with field crews and foremen, this role helps coordinate daily operations, ensures proper sequencing and layout, and contributes to keeping projects on schedule.

- Support foremen, laborers, and operators in daily project tasks.
- Coordinate load schedules, sequencing, and deliveries with dispatch.
- Assist with layout and ensure proper alignment using survey equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and communicate plans to the crew.
- Monitor project progress and help troubleshoot field issues.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, including tracking issues and resolutions.
- Assist with jobsite setup, including crane access, logistics, and initial coordination.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and crew needs to maintain efficiency.
- Communicate with general contractors and other trades to align project activities.
- Support inspections (grout, welds) and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Ideal Candidate Will Have- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or structural engineering.
- OSHA 30 certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of construction practices and jobsite safety requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with survey equipment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use.
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
