Sanitation Technician, 3rd Shift
Location: Wells, MN, Minnesota (US-MN)
Reports To: Sanitation Manager
Hours: 9:30 p.m.–5:30 a.m. (Hours may vary)
Wage: $24.23/hour
Physical Classification: 1-17 (see Back & Task Chart)
Job SummaryDisassemble, clean, and assemble all plant food processing equipment using high- and low-pressure hot water, corrosive chemicals, and other cleaning equipment.
Job Duties- Disassemble food-processing equipment as necessary.
- Clean equipment and overhead areas using high‑pressure hot water hoses, chemicals, foamers, sanitizers, scrubbing equipment, etc.
- Reassemble equipment and prepare for next day’s food production.
- Frequently bend, lift, climb, and twist throughout the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Dry pick up.
- Drain fryers properly.
- Tear down filters for cleaning.
- Gel fryer, filter, and conveyor, then foam them.
- High‑pressure clean the room and check for deficiencies.
- Flush fryer pipe, fill fryer for following day’s production, and set temperature.
- Boil fryer once a week.
High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.
Qualifications- Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, and twist.
- Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.
