Hours:

2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. (Hours May Vary).

Wage: $22.31 per hour

This position combines roles of transporter and scaler to support production as needed. Transporter duties include feeding materials into the Packing Room, lifting and stacking pallets, and moving finished product to the freezer. Scaler duties include weighing boxes to specifications, completing paperwork or computer entry, and performing temperature and metal detector checks.

• Supply necessary materials (boxes, labels, bags, etc.) to the Packing Room to support daily operations.
• Complete daily equipment checklist before operating a pallet jack.
• Handle partially filled product boxes to ensure proper freezer storage and retrieve product for line operation.
• Know freezer locations and proper storage locations for product.
• Stack skids and assist in box making and skid wrapper operation.
• Complete all required paperwork and enter pallet tickets and other information into the computer as required.
• Perform frequent bending, lifting, and twisting throughout the shift, lifting and stacking product at and above shoulder level.
• Keep work area clean.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

• Set up and operate scale and tape machine.
• Arrange packing room for the product run.
• Perform frozen temperature and metal detector checks.
• Advise packers of product type and packing requirements.
• Weigh all boxes to meet minimum weight and counts.
• Check scale for proper tare.
• Ensure proper label, stamp, and date code on boxes.
• Keep work area clean.
• May be required to bend, lift, and twist frequently during the shift.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust may be present. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and other equipment as necessary or required.

Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and frequently bend, lift, and twist. Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions (back and task).
