This role is part of the Kinship Care team within the LAC and Permanency Service, assessing family and friends of a child in order to secure a child’s permanency within their network.
Base pay rangeSalary range: £42,060 - £51,138 p.a. inc. London weighting

Location:
Civic centre and other locations from time to time
- Complete assessments of potential carers – Connected Persons Fostering assessments, Special Guardianship assessments, and viability assessments.
- Participate in a duty rota.
We are looking for an‑motivated social worker passionate about working with kinship carers and providing them support and guidance.
Qualifications & Experience- 3 years post‑qualifying experience as a Social Worker in a statutory setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good assessment skills and a solid understanding of relevant legislation.
- Good IT skills and an ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Up to 33 days annual leave (depending on length of service) plus bank holidays
