Position Title
Secretary - Special Education (Non-Continuing, Leave Replacement)
Pay$23.01 - $25.45 per hour
Employment Dates8 hours per day (Sept. 9, 2026 - Feb. 5, 2027)
DescriptionAssists with relieving the supervisor of administrative details by performing a variety of office and secretarial duties independently. Coordinates meeting arrangements, record maintenance, and office procedures. Maintains confidentiality and understands the department’s purpose. Bilingual preferred.
QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent required; AA degree or equivalent in secretarial/clerical science preferred. Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience desirable. Excellent computer skills; familiar with district systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong computer knowledge required – MAC preferred. Bilingual preferred. Good human relations skills and organization. Able to work without direct supervision once tasks are identified. Flexible and adaptable to change in routines.
Able to deal with staff and public with courtesy and efficiency. Attendance and punctuality are essential. Proficiency in completing INS I‑9 and background check is required.

- Retirement benefits are provided through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS).
- Paid leave: 10 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, and 11 holidays for 180‑219 day employees; 10 days sick, 3 personal, and 11 holidays for 220‑259 day employees; 12 days sick, 2 personal, 14 holidays, and 12 vacation days for 260 day employees.
- Tuition reimbursement: 50% up to $450 per year for qualified expenses.
- Benefits may be prorated based on hire date or hours per day.
