We’re hiring a Special Projects Superintendent to lead fast‑paced, detail‑driven construction work across a wide range of markets. Absher’s Special Projects Group delivers renovations, tenant improvements, small capital upgrades, and complex interior reconfigurations in active, occupied, and sensitive environments. We need a Superintendent who can manage multiple scopes, keep communication tight, and maintain exceptional customer service while driving safe, high‑quality results.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Supervise, train, and mentor field labor, including craft workers and laborers
- Lead by example with professionalism, time management, communication, and client service
- Ensure field work is executed safely, with quality, and in alignment with schedule
- Participate in preconstruction services, including constructability reviews and project planning
- Coordinate site activities and maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, and crews
- Prepare and manage CPM schedules and detailed look‑ahead plans
- Oversee daily and weekly reports, inspections, testing, and safety compliance
- Monitor project costs and productivity, including labor and materials tracking
Successful Special Projects Superintendents thrive on variety, problem‑solving, and tight timelines. You know how to juggle changing conditions, maintain strong communication with owners and trade partners, and keep the site running smoothly in occupied settings. You take pride in polished work, professionalism, and getting things done without surprises.
Preferred Qualifications- 5–10 years of relevant construction experience
- Proven track record managing ground‑up commercial projects (K-12, higher ed, hospitals, mixed‑use, DoD, etc.)
- In‑depth knowledge of craft functions and union contracts
- Experience with Procore and Primavera P6 (preferred)
- OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification
- Junior college or vocational education background a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, safety, and mentoring future leaders

Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Pay Transparency: $120,000 USD - $160,000 USD
