The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting superiors in planning construction procedures, specifications, work schedules, and material needs. The Assistant Superintendent will supervise and coordinate activities of field craft workers on job sites. Additionally, the Assistant Superintendent will be solely responsible for self‑performed scopes of work and the profitability of those scopes. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, craft workers, material ordering and scheduling deliveries, monitoring of costs, and maintaining scheduled activities.
Skillsto be Successful
- Experience in commercial construction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, effective communications skills and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit high level of technical competency across all scopes and thorough understanding of means and methods.
- Ability to manage the job site; coordinate work, obtain tools and materials, oversee project clean up and ensure activities of various workers do not interfere with one another.
- Experienced at the supervision of various contractors and craft labor crews.
- Experienced in developing and maintaining site logistics plan, in coordination with the superiors to obtaining Owner/Agency approvals.
- Experienced with and knowledgeable of all craft functions. Have a broad, thorough understanding of the construction industry.
- Take initiative and provide leadership and direction. Act as a mentor and teacher to others and display strong leadership qualities.
- Have excellent communication. Foster, promote and ensure good standing relationships with team members, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Be comfortable and proficient with technology.
- A demonstrated commitment to and promotion of a diverse and inclusive work environment and have a commitment to a safe and injury‑free work environment through your own actions and mentoring others.

Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Pay Transparency: $120,000 USD - $140,000 USD
