Role Description The TV Anchor/Producer is a full-time, on-site role based in Wenatchee, WA. This position is responsible for anchoring live and recorded newscasts, introducing segments, and delivering clear, engaging on-air presentations. Day-to-day tasks include researching and writing scripts, planning and producing segments, coordinating with reporters, videographers, and technical staff, and ensuring accurate and timely coverage of local news and events.

The role involves preparing for interviews, reviewing show rundowns, collaborating on editorial decisions, and participating in promotional or community-facing activities as needed. The TV Anchor/Producer is expected to uphold journalistic standards, maintain a professional on-air presence, and contribute to the overall quality and consistency of NCWLIFE’s programming.

Qualifications

  • Strong broadcast journalism skills, including research, news writing, and script development for television.
  • On-air performance abilities, such as clear delivery, professional presence, and effective live reporting under deadline.
  • Production and editorial skills, including segment planning, show rundown creation, and collaboration with newsroom and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools, newsroom systems, and basic studio operations or control room workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to accuracy, fairness, and clarity.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wenatchee, WA, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of and interest in local issues, community events, and regional news; prior experience in local TV news is a plus.
