Salary: $19.99 - $22.44 per hour
DESCRIPTIONUnder the direction of the building administrator and/or the classroom teacher, performs a variety of tasks related to the instructional program to enhance learning experiences in one‑on‑one, small group, or classroom setting. Prepares materials for student use and administers curriculum as directed. Provides before/after school, cafeteria and/or recess supervision. Completes other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum AA degree or equivalent, or passed PRAXIS test required. Bilingual/Bi‑literate (English/Spanish) required, knowledge of Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD) or willingness to learn. Good communication skills and ability to follow written and oral directions. Experience teaching social skills to students is preferred. Experience working with students with extreme behaviors preferred. Comfortable managing large groups of students. Patient, flexible, self‑motivated, positive social skills, and calm personality.
Ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Wear appropriate clothing for climate and weather during recess. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

180 - 219 Day Employees: 10 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, and 11 holidays.
220 - 259 Day Employees: 10 days of sick leave, 3 personal leave days, and 11 holidays.
260 Day Employees: 12 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, 14 holidays, and 12 vacation days.
Tuition reimbursement: 50% up to $450 per year for qualified expenses.
