As the Mortgage Loan Originators Supervisor, you will oversee a small team of loan originators within an assigned out‑of‑plant footprint (OFP) territory. You will manage the end‑to‑end loan origination process to meet volume goals and maintain compliance.
Responsibilities- Supervise day‑to‑day activities of Mortgage Loan Originators, ensuring timely collection and processing of application documents.
- Achieve annual loan volume origination goals set by upper management.
- Build referral relationships with real estate brokers, builders, and other external sources to secure a steady loan volume.
- Represent U.S. Bank Home Mortgage at local and state trade associations and maintain current knowledge of industry developments.
- Collaborate with other business lines to promote cross‑selling of products and strengthen customer relationships.
- Lead the recruitment, interview, training, and retention of loan originator talent, fostering a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration, background checks, and other regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of mortgage sales experience.
- Strong business development and relationship‑management skills.
- Proficient understanding of mortgage products, underwriting requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and private investors.
- Knowledge of pricing, underwriting, and regulatory programs such as Truth‑in‑Lending, RESPA, and local zoning ordinances.
- Excellent customer‑service, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical ability to evaluate financial information.
- Capability to perform duties outside the regular place of business.
- Active NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.

Annual base salary ranges from $49,000 to $70,350, depending on state minimums, with additional incentive eligibility.
