Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with national certification and a Washington State license for a hospital OR position.

• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required if applicable
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists

• Hospital surgery department setting
• Day/evening shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift hours from
• No on-call requirement
• Functions as a vital member of the OR team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical interventions
• Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN Standards and facility policies
• Proficient in surgical procedures across a variety of services
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Assists team members with setting up and maintaining the sterile field
• Demonstrates proper use of instruments, sutures, and stapling devices
• Prepares according to surgeon preference cards and procedure requirements
• Accurately performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times
• Properly identifies and preserves specimens according to department policy
• Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations
