Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Wenatchee, WA

As a valued interpreter, youll work closely with education professionals and students to ensure access to instruction, activities, and resources throughout the school day. Your expertise will bridge communication, creating a supportive space where all voices are heard and understood.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
• Previous experience interpreting within K-12 schools highly preferred
• Compliance with state and national certification standards for sign language interpreting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and families
• Flexibility to adapt to different age groups, classroom settings, and levels of signing proficiency

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and events for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers in academic and non-academic settings
• Travel between multiple school sites as assigned, ensuring consistent support
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and display professionalism in all interactions
