Forecasting & Planning Support Specialist

CMI Orchards is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Forecasting & Planning Support Specialist
to join our Operations team. This role supports key functions across forecasting, planning, fulfillment alignment, inventory visibility, packaging and sales projections, food safety and compliance, and sample request coordination. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate operational data, improving cross-functional communication, and supporting business decision-making.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working with data, and capable of coordinating with multiple departments to ensure important tasks and processes are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities

• Support forecasting, planning, and inventory visibility activities by maintaining accurate operational data and reporting.
• Assist with pack plan alignment by helping connect available supply with customer demand and operational priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities between Planning, Fulfillment, Sales, Packaging, Quality Control, Food Safety, and warehouse teams.
• Provide backup support for critical planning, sales projection, packaging, and compliance functions.
• Manage and coordinate customer sample requests from intake through execution, working with multiple departments to ensure timely completion.
• Help improve data accuracy, process consistency, and operational visibility across key planning and forecasting activities.
• Support evolving forecasting tools, reporting processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and operational data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, produce, supply chain, logistics, operations, customer service, inventory management, or administrative support.
• Experience working with ERP systems, forecasting tools, inventory systems, or operational reporting.
• Interest in planning, forecasting, operations, or supply chain management.
