Summary
The Nurse Quality Outcomes - RN supports Confluence Health's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program by integrating clinical expertise with quality data abstraction, analysis, visualization, and facilitation of improvement initiatives. This role partners with clinical and operational leaders to ensure that quality data is translated into actionable insights that improve patient outcomes, safety, and reliability across the continuum of care.

Essential Functions
* Performs data abstraction and validation for assigned quality measures, registries, and reporting programs, applying clinical knowledge and judgment to interpret documentation and measure specifications.
* Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and completeness through routine monitoring, validation, and resolution of discrepancies.
* Analyzes quality and outcomes data to identify trends, variation, and performance opportunities.
* Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support stakeholders, committees, and leadership decision-making.
* Translates data into actionable insights, applying clinical expertise to interpret findings, identify care-related opportunities, and communicate recommendations to clinical, operational, and leadership audiences.
* Supports and/or facilitates process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean, RCA) and tools (e.g. A3, fishbone).
* Partners with stakeholders (clinical, operational, and leadership) to support quality improvement efforts and performance monitoring.
* Coordinates project activities and deliverables, including timelines, documentation, meeting support, and follow-up.
* Develops and maintains documentation related to measure definitions, workflows, data sources, and reporting processes.
* Supports regulatory and accreditation readiness, including audit preparation, validation activities, and response to external inquiries.
* Participates in committees, work groups, and interdisciplinary teams, contributing data, analysis, and recommendations as appropriate.
* Identifies and escalates data quality concerns, workflow gaps, and performance issues to appropriate stakeholders.
* Applies established policies, standards, and methodologies related to quality reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
* Collaborates with Quality Reporting, Quality Analytics, Care Excellence, and operational partners to align data, improvement efforts, and organizational priorities.
* Maintains competency in assigned tools, systems, and quality programs, including ongoing professional development and required training
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
* At least two years of recent experience in acute-care setting or three years' experience as a registered nurse in a health care setting such as ambulatory, hospice, or home-health.
* Current licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).
* Proficient, competent clinical skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment, as well as seek guidance when appropriate or indicated.
