Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Rehabilitation for a 13‑week travel assignment in Wenatchee, Washington.

  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Summary

The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This role involves nursing assessments, care‑plan implementation, monitoring progress, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain physical, functional, and emotional well‑being.

Essential Work Functions
  • Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and document appropriately into patient records
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post‑operative care
  • Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
  • Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation care
  • Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal Skills – Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally and independently; handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and effective communication ability
