Are you looking to lead quality operations within a precision manufacturing environment while driving process improvements, compliance initiatives, and operational excellence? This opportunity as a Quality Control Manager focuses on overseeing inspection systems, corrective actions, audits, supplier quality initiatives, and customer quality support within a fast‑paced industrial manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands‑on quality leader who thrives in production environments and enjoys improving systems, reducing defects, and supporting cross‑functional manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities across manufacturing operations
- Ensure effective utilization and calibration of inspection equipment including gauges, hardness testers, and precision measurement tools
- Monitor SPC, process capability, defect reduction, and quality performance initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action investigations utilizing methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why
- Review and approve nonconformance reports, material review activities, and customer return investigations
- Coordinate corrective action implementation and ensure timely closure of quality issues
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits and compliance reviews
- Serve as the primary quality contact during customer audits and registrar inspections
- Coordinate audit responses, follow‑up activities, and compliance documentation
- Oversee supplier quality performance and support supplier corrective action initiatives
- Support customer quality concerns, technical reviews, and product quality discussions
- Participate in contract review activities and quality documentation processes
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, operations, and sales teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and process performance
- Maintain quality records, reporting systems, and operational documentation
- Support manufacturing teams in maintaining safety, compliance, and production standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment required
- Experience with in industrial manufacturing, metal processing, machining, casting, or heat‑treat environments preferred
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100, IATF 16949, or related quality standards preferred
- Experience with inspection methods, GD&T, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and corrective action systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience managing audits and interacting with customers, suppliers, and registrars
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development abilities
- Ability to work cross‑functionally within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quality data management software preferred
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
