Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.13 to $19.13 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
  • Average weekly hours are between 2–5 per week.
  • Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement
    :
    Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support
    :
    Provide additional days and extended hours during the work week for seasonal demand. On holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas you may work on the actual holiday or weekend.
  • Department resets
    :
    Participate as part of a team for installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card sections, and resetting card displays. You will be notified at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may require evenings or weekends.
  • Team support
    :
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor as well as in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds most days and 50 pounds occasionally. You may also need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, thrive on stairs, and use step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Capability to regularly lift, pull, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
