Overview
As a Customer Service Associate, you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe’s. This role is ideal for those who want to engage with customers and help them solve their home improvement challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Downstock merchandise by finding empty spots on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that require prolonged standing, sitting, or other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or 25+ lbs with or without an accommodation.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to a department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; however, it may require occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsWork is performed both indoors and outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions, noise, and moving or shaking equipment. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 lbs; team lifts are used when required. Powered equipment is used with proper training.
Pay Range$17.13 – $17.70 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
