Electrical Estimator

Job Type: Full-time/ Direct Hire

Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 Based on Experience + Benefits and growth opportunities!

BBSI has partnered with a well-respected electrical contractor and UL-Certified Panel Shop serving commercial and industrial clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Founded in 1960,
we specialize in industrial controls, automation systems, data communication infrastructure, and design-build electrical solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects
. This role will collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, vendors, and leadership to support successful project execution and company growth.

• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and project documents to determine scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Support project handoff and scope review with operations teams.

• 5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience in commercial and/or industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of NEC, electrical systems, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Con Est, McCormick, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or Procore.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Journeyman Electrician license or electrical field experience.
• Design-build and value engineering experience.
• Experience estimating projects from $50K to $30M+.
