Salary: $26.53 per hour

Upon successful hire and completion of CDL/Bus training program district will pay costs of certification.

The Wenatchee School District needs substitute bus drivers. This role offers a rewarding and challenging experience. Applicants must be willing to work with students of all ages and maintain a positive attitude.

Job Duties

• Transport students to and from school in a safe manner.
• Handle bus and students in adverse conditions.
• Abide by all state and district transportation regulations.
• Work indoors and outdoors year‑round and in noisy, crowded, dusty, or odorous environments.
• Maintain order on the bus, teach safety rules, learn student names, and work with parents and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class B license with passenger and air brake endorsement.
• Medical examiner’s certificate and current first aid card.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Cleared fingerprints from Washington State Patrol and FBI on file with OSPI.
• Completed yearly online WSD Safe Schools training.
• Submit SMDR forms for any prior substitute work.
• Complete and return supplemental paperwork at the district office.
