Position Type:
Full-Time Create Video That Helps Our Neighbors See It, Understand It, and Do It.At etrailer, video isn't just about making something look good. It's one of the ways we help our neighbors understand products, see how they work, and feel confident using or installing them on their own.
As a Videographer, you'll capture and produce practical, informative video content featuring the products our neighbors use throughout their journeys. One day you may be filming a product demonstration in the studio; the next, you're capturing an installation in the shop or working alongside a product expert to show an important detail someone needs to see before making a decision.
Every shot should help tell the story.
You'll combine creativity with purpose, using cameras, lighting, audio, editing, and thoughtful visual storytelling to make complicated products and processes easier to understand. You'll work alongside other creatives and product-focused teammates while continuing to develop your craft and find better ways to show our neighbors what they need to know.
What You Will DoCapture high-quality video of product demonstrations, installations, features, and real-world applications.
Set up and operate cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment across studio and shop environments.
Work alongside product experts and teammates to understand what matters about a product and determine the best way to show it visually.
Edit footage into clear, engaging content that reflects etrailer's practical, educational approach.
Organize footage and digital assets while managing multiple projects and production timelines.
Take ownership of your production space and equipment, including daily setup, breakdown, and organization.
Bring ideas to the table, continue improving your craft, and have some fun creating content that genuinely helps people.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role You understand that great video starts with understanding what the viewer needs to see, not simply capturing a beautiful shot.
You have hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, audio, editing, and the fundamentals of video production.
You pay close attention to framing, consistency, audio, lighting, and the small details that affect the final product.
You're organized and capable of keeping multiple shoots, files, projects, and deadlines moving at the same time.
You communicate well and enjoy collaborating with people who may know the product better than they know video.
You're comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your work, and sharing ideas when you see an opportunity to make something better.
You're curious about new equipment, technology, techniques, and products and enjoy continuing to develop your skills.
Who This Role Is For This role is ideal for a videographer who wants their work to do something, not simply look good.
You'll enjoy this position if you like getting out from behind the editing desk, working hands-on with products, solving visual challenges, and figuring out the clearest way to show someone how something works. The subject matter changes constantly, so you'll have opportunities to film everything from towing and trailer products to bike racks, cargo carriers, RV equipment, and other products our neighbors rely on.
Experience in videography, media production, commercial video, educational content, or another hands-on production environment is valuable. More importantly, we're interested in seeing work that demonstrates your eye, technical ability, storytelling, and ability to create video with a clear purpose.
Benefitsetrailer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and more.
You'll also have opportunities to work with a wide variety of production equipment, learn directly from product experts, and continue developing your skills through hands-on experience.
Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on production role. You'll work in both studio and shop environments, spend time on your feet, move production equipment, and occasionally lift or position products such as hitches, bike racks, cargo carriers, and roof racks, including some overhead lifting.
Ready to Create Something Useful?
If you're looking for more than another videography position and want to create video that teaches, solves problems, and helps real people make confident decisions, we'd love to see what you can do.
Please include a demo reel, portfolio, or relevant examples of your video work with your application.
