GENERAL STATEMENT OF

PURPOSE:

At Red Mesa Unified School District, the Paraprofessional-Early Childhood is responsible for providing instructional support to certified teachers to enhance the learning environment of all early childhood students through different strategies and methods of teaching and learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assists in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment

Assists in planning and preparation for group and individual activities

Assists with student records/attendance requirements

Assists substitute teacher to ensure continuity of learning process

Assists with parent activities

Performs other related tasks as assigned

STUDENT INTERACTION:

Supervises students as assigned, during non-instructional activities

Provides individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills

Provides enrichment and remedial assistance as required

Assists with testing to determine student placement as required

Participates in activities that will develop positive interaction in the instructional process

Performs other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, or minimum 60 hours of college credits or AA degree from an accredited institution a combination of all is also acceptable of higher learning in areas acceptable to the district.

CERTIFICATION:Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR, First Aide

EXPERIENCE:

Three years or more of experience working with children in an instructional setting.

LICENSE:
Valid Driver's License
