Nurse LPN/RN - Crisis Center (PRN/All Shifts) at Compass Health Network. Wentzville, MO. Due to rapid expansion in all of our clinics, we are offering a $750 sign‑on bonus.

This is a PRN position for all shifts at our 24/7 center. The Nurse LPN/RN at our Crisis Center Stabilization Center provides direct and indirect patient care in a psychiatric capacity while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.

• Perform nursing care such as health assessments, pain assessments, vital signs, applying dressings and general daily care of individuals who present at the Crisis Stabilization Center.
• Perform all duties of medication administration including medication pass, injections, and observing self‑administration of medication.
• Manage medications including completing the MAR, updating the MAR, and counting controlled substances.
• Provide patient education regarding physical health and medications.
• Coordinate care with staff, residents, family, physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals and pharmacies.
• Report and record observable changes in individuals’ behavior, attitude and physical condition.
• Assist staff with various diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Provide education on procedures and protocols to new employees.
• Participate in team and leadership meetings as assigned.
• Maintain effective verbal, written and nonverbal communication skills.
• Display cognitive, organizational and emotional abilities and maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines and difficult situations.
• Provide direct patient care to adults, including working with patients who could be verbally or physically agitated.
• Participate in mandatory overtime when needed.

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric experience; experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
• LPN or RN (valid in Missouri) required.
