General Description

The Inside Sales Manager oversees the inside sales team, providing leadership, coaching, and supervision in product knowledge, resources, and sales tactics. This role is responsible for maximizing order capture through team responsiveness, accuracy, and the development of strong personal relationships with our distribution network. A primary focus includes overseeing technical quoting and support for both components and automated assemblies, ensuring each Channel Partner has a dedicated primary contact.

The Inside Sales Manager monitors processes for bottlenecks and continually implements improvements to drive consistency and responsiveness across the team.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years sales management experience
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check
  • Industrial and/or valve sales experience preferred
  • Positive leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Solid experience and success with the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Ability to analyze sales trends and provide strategic recommendations to management
  • Ability to troubleshoot process gaps and determine root causes
Abilities
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to focus and pay attention for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
  • Train, supervise, and coach inside sales representatives in customer service and product knowledge
  • Oversee all quoting and inside sales activities, as well as participate in quoting as needed
  • Maintain the organizational structure where each Channel Partner has a dedicated sales teams
  • Drive consistency and responsiveness across the inside sales team to maximize the customer experience
  • Collaborate with outside sales, marketing, and product managers to execute strategic sales plans
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps, training issues, or needed process improvements within the team
  • Ensure effective communication with operations and engineering to maximize order accuracy

Having experience, knowledge, and or awareness of the valve automation industry is preferred but not required.
