Your impact at a glancekeep production moving by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing complex electrical and control systems across our wentzville operations.key responsibilities maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment, control circuits, and power distribution systems.perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.adhere to osha and gm safety protocols; promote a strong safety culture.read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings and wiring schematics.diagnose

malfunctions quickly to avoid delays in production.collaborate with cross-functional teams; support continuous improvement initiatives.apply advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve technical issues.required background6+ years as an electrician or completion of a u.s. Department of labor electrical apprenticeship (certificate of completion).minimum age: 18.flexible to work day, afternoon, or night shifts; willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with limited notice.current gm employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement: contact local hr/lr regarding placement options.compensationjourneyperson

in training (jit): $37.78 – $44.08/hour.journeyperson: $44.98/hour.placement and pay are based on credentials, certifications, and interview performance.gm uaw hourly roles offer a competitive pay and benefits package; qualified employees are also eligible for an annual incentive payout.physical requirementsrapid response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.extended standing and on-foot work; occasional seated tasks.consistent use of personal protective equipment.work within an active industrial environment;
