IDEA Intern
Mission:
The Intern supports IDEA's mission by contributing to day-to-day team operations, project execution, and administrative priorities while developing foundational professional skills in a collaborative work environment.
Location:
This is an onsite position based in the RGV.
Travel Expectations:
Travel to IDEA training events or step-back may be required.
What You'll Do - Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
- Support assigned team with daily operational, administrative, and project-related tasks.
- Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining information relevant to team priorities.
- Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, or materials to support team initiatives.
- Support special projects and follow-up activities as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support campus/APO with student recruitment and enrollment
- Support in classrooms, lunch duty, pickup drop off etc.
- Campus events support
- Technology support depending on campus process (pick up/check in of
- devices)
- Summer School support
- Front Office support (copies, phone, attendance, parents, etc.)
- Support lead team with data reports across departments when needed
- Assist with preparing power points or designing power points for
- meetings/presentations.
- Support with information systems (if applicable)
- Organize documents/files across different campus departments
- Support with testing
- Support lead team with textbook inventory, ordering, and distribution
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Principal of Operations

Preferred experience:
• High School Diploma
• Planning and organizing skills
• Interpersonal, relationship building skills
• Has propensity for actions, willing to make mistakes by doing in order to learn and improve quickly
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 15 pounds (occasionally)
What We Offer:
Duration: 8 weeks
Maximum Hours per Week: 32
Pay Rate: $10 hourly
