Regional CSI Coach
The Regional Critical Student Intervention Coach will oversee Intervention and for IDEA Public Schools to ensure maximum student achievement to close the achievement gap for critical students by designing, training, and coaching implementation of processes. The Regional Critical Student Intervention Coach will collaborate with national partners to design, implement processes, facilitate training, provide coaching, and ensure implementation of the Critical Student Intervention (CSI) program, Response to Intervention, End of Course Retesters, DIBELS intervention, and overall tier 2 & 3 intervention across the district in coordination with fidelity.
This position is grant-funded with Title II Part A funds. This is a grant-funded position and funding may be extended. A grant-funded position has no guarantee of ongoing and indefinite employment. All duties and responsibilities tied to this position are allowable and allocable to the grant. The employee will work solely (100%) on allowable activities outlined in the grant program.
This is a full-time hybrid (remote/on-site) position located in the Lower RGV. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations: 50%-70% travel within the region
Essential Duties:
- Lead effective CSI DI instruction, tier 2 and 3 intervention implementation, DIBELS Intervention, End of Course retesters, and Response to Intervention through weekly CSI DI data packet analysis, written and verbal feedback, joint observations, and in-field and remote coaching
- Conduct in field observations, (real-time) coaching and support to school leaders (70%)
- Join reoccurring meetings for region and national to facilitate communication: check-ins/ business partnerships meetings
- Manage and implement region-wide systems and processes for Critical Student Intervention, DIBELS Intervention, End-of-Course retesters, tier 2 and 3 interventions, and Response to Intervention at the regional level.
- Design and facilitate Critical Student Intervention, tier 2 & 3 intervention, and Response to Intervention trainings to teachers and leaders throughout the year.
- Provide initial grouping and potential regrouping recommendations based on Renaissance Star, DIBELs, STAAR and DI placement and/or program results at various points in the school year
- Collaborate with the national team members to participate in the design and roll out of all Critical Student Intervention, DIEBLS Intervention, End of Course, tier 2 & 3 intervention & RTI related trainings

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Utilize regional newsletters as primary mode of communication to cascade information and/or action items to schools
· Collaborate with stakeholders to define process and checkpoints for leaders and teachers for registration so that participants enroll in appropriate sessions
· Collaborate with other regional CSI leaders to define process used district wide
· Troubleshoot in person or remotely, formally or informally with school leaders as needed
· Ensure materials are procured properly by communication district procedures to campuses for ordering materials
