Assistant Branch Manager (Equipment Rental)

Responsibilities- Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the branch.
- Help drive exceptional customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assist with business planning, budgeting, and branch financial performance.
- Review operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve productivity and profitability.
- Support rental operations including inventory management, equipment availability, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with employee scheduling, coaching, training, and team development.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety procedures.
- Work alongside sales and operations teams to support business development initiatives.
- Develop a strong understanding of branch operations, including sales, customer service, fleet management, and administrative functions.
- Build relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Participate in ongoing leadership and professional development training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Leadership experience through work, internships, military service, student organizations, or supervisory roles is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with construction equipment, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or the equipment rental industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work around construction equipment, machinery, chemicals, and industrial environments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
