Security Officer Armed Vehicle Driver in Weslaco, TX

Position Type: Full‑Time

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Tue 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Fri 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sat 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Serve in an armed post in accordance with assigned duties, site requirements, and/or applicable laws, maintaining professional bearing and sound judgment during routine activities and unusual situations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas, assist with access control and loss prevention support, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
