Job Summary:

The delivery driver will transfer products, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.

• Drive company vehicles to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware, and other supplies to customers' homes, construction sites, or places of business.
• Collect payment from customers on COD orders and record customer information according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Verify order details and obtain customer signature on the delivery ticket.
• Use navigation tools or directions to locate delivery addresses efficiently.
• Record all pertinent delivery information for accurate tracking.
• Collect and organize required paperwork for delivery and transfer activity.
• Treat all customers with courtesy and respect, acting as a liaison between the site customer and store personnel.
• Inform store management or personnel of any customer complaints or requests in a timely manner.
• Collect or pick up empty containers, rejected, or unsold merchandise from delivery sites as directed.
• Load vehicle safely and accurately.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles.
• Perform routine safety checks on vehicles according to company guidelines.
• Assist in the yard and warehouse with stocking, loading, and organizing materials.
• Assist customers in the yard with loading material and product questions when not driving a delivery truck.
• Comply with all company safety standards, and all federal, state, and local laws.
• Operate a forklift.
• Attend all store meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Drive safely and use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Plan delivery routes.
• Maintain basic logs and records.
• Follow a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Remain professional and courteous at all times.
• Adjust controls of a machine or vehicle promptly and accurately.
• Meet driver eligibility guidelines for the company (23years of age or older; valid driver’s license for the vehicle).
• Successfully complete all company training and certification requirements, including obtaining forklift certification.
• Dependable and able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• NonCDL – may operate any vehicle ≤26,000lb GVWR provided it is not towing a utility trailer rated for over 10,000lb.
• NonCDL/PHY – may operate any vehicle ≤26,000lb GVWR provided it is not towing a utility trailer rated for over 10,000lb; can cross state lines and must have current DOT Physical.
• CDL‑B – may operate any vehicle >26,000lb GVWR provided it is not a combination unit and is not towing a utility trailer rated over 10,000lb.
• CDL‑A – may operate any vehicle including combination units and may tow a utility trailer rated over 10,000lb.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• English language proficiency sufficient for general public interaction, understanding highway signs, and official inquiries.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Successful completion of on‑the‑job training; completion of levels1 and2 of the positional training offered.

• Prolonged periods of sitting.
• Use the three‑point hold when entering trucks and/or forklifts.
• Lift up to 80lb at times; occasionally lift/move up to 100lb; push and/or pull 50‑lb loads.
• Work in various weather conditions.
