As a young church plant, we are passionate about strong biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and doing everything with excellence for the glory of God.
Role OverviewThe Worship Leader will provide both spiritual and musical leadership for our Sunday gatherings. This role includes planning weekly services, leading worship, developing volunteers, and helping shape a healthy culture of worship that aligns with the theology and mission of Redemption Church.
This position reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
What You Will Do Service Planning and Preparation- Work closely with the Lead Pastor to align music with sermon themes and overall church vision
- Select songs that are theologically sound and accessible for congregational singing
- Build intentional, gospel centered service orders
- Assist in planning special services and key church events
- Lead worship vocally and instrumentally with clarity and spiritual maturity
- Model authentic, Christ centered worship from the platform
- Provide brief transitions or exhortations that are biblically faithful
- Create an atmosphere that encourages full congregational participation
- Recruit and onboard musicians and vocalists
- Schedule and communicate clearly with team members
- Lead weekly rehearsals with excellence and care
- Invest in the spiritual and musical growth of volunteers
- Manage Planning Center or similar planning software
- Maintain song library and arrangements
- Coordinate closely with the production team regarding sound, slides, and service flow
- Help steward equipment and musical resources
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
- A lifestyle that reflects biblical character
- Agreement with Redemption Church’s statement of faith and core values
- A heart for the local church
- Teachable, humble, and team oriented
- Strong vocal ability and musical proficiency
- Ability to lead from an instrument preferred
- Experience leading congregational worship
- Working knowledge of worship technology and service planning
- Someone who cares about developing people, not just producing music
- Emotionally healthy and relationally mature
- A self starter who manages time well within a 15 hour work week
- Comfortable serving in a portable church environment
- Approximately 15 hours per week, including
- Weekly service planning and preparation
- One rehearsal
- Sunday gathering
- Weekly setup and teardown
- Administrative communication and scheduling
Part time salary based on experience.
