Position SummaryThe Member Frontline Services Associate maintains the checkout area, provides member service, resolves member issues, promotes Sam's Club products and services, and supports members using self‑service technology. The role includes processing purchases, handling payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, conducting safety sweeps, managing lines, and maintaining entrance and exit areas. Additionally, the associate assists with training new associates, ensures compliance with company policies, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide member service and maintain the checkout area.
- Resolve member issues and concerns.
- Promote Sam's Club products and services.
- Provide guidance and support for self‑service technology.
- Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to policy.
- Conduct safety sweeps and report unsafe situations.
- Handle merchandise properly and report any shrink or damage.
- Maintain entrance, exit, and zoning areas, ensuring a safe environment.
- Review member receipts and maintain required documentation.
- Assist in securing and safeguarding assets and property, reporting potential criminal activity.
- Execute emergency response procedures and ensure security and safety compliance.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new Member Frontline Service associates.
- Deliver new program roll‑out training and support continuous learning.
- Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, and customers to prioritize work and communicate progress.
- Identify improvement opportunities and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Retail experience operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
- Experience using mobile retail applications.
- Experience with point‑of‑sale technology and software.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
