Job Summary: Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that includes preventative and responsive services while fostering academic, career, and social‑emotional development.
Education, Training & Experience- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or a related field.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school‑aged children and their families, and at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A‑4.0181.
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK‑12.
This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. If so, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate, in addition to your base salary. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.
Background ScreeningPasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.
