As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be joining a team of fun, energetic individuals some of whom have been working at St Luke’s for over 30 years (that should speak volumes).

• Must be able to attend 6 weeks of training in Tarpon Springs

At St Luke’s, we invest in your success from day one. We offer a paid, hands‑on training program (6‑8 weeks) where you’ll gain the skills needed to launch a career in ophthalmology-no prior experience required. You will receive hands‑on training in a fully equipped, high‑tech facility, working alongside world‑renowned medical professionals. The training program is located at our Tarpon Springs office - Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

• Learn the fundamentals of eye care through our structured, hands‑on training program
• Work directly with patients, guiding them through their appointments
• Perform diagnostic tests and assist physicians during exams
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming environment for patients
• Use state‑of‑the‑art technology to provide top‑quality care

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)
• Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT)

• Basic computer skills and a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be flexible and able to travel between various St Luke’s locations in the Tampa Bay Region (Clearwater, St Petersburg, Tampa and Wesley Chapel)
