Location
: 2600 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33544
Shift: 8‑4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with the potential of “tens” (possibly meaning ten hours?) and a day off during the week.
Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate. Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high‑quality care by the team. Performs team member orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.
Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technologist responsibilities include:
- Position patients and equipment appropriately, and operate fluoroscopy and imaging systems to capture high‑quality, real‑time images for accurate guidance.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as directed, following safety protocols and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Participate in time‑out and procedural verification processes, ensuring correct patient identification, procedure, and site.
- Support inventory and supply management, including checking expiration dates, stocking of supplies, and notifying appropriate personnel of shortages.
- Perform complex diagnostic and interventional procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring proper technique and adherence to infection control standards throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
- Ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
- Perform direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely, properly wear dosimeter badge, and minimize radiation exposure.

Education- High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
- Associate Degree (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years experience (Preferred)
- Registered Radiology Technologist (RT), ARRT (Required)
- Registered Technologist – Vascular Interventional Radiography (RT (VI)), ARRT (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) (Required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
