Site Superintendent

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee the daily operations and execution of landscaping projects in our business. As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating field operations, managing a team of landscape crews, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Your expertise in landscaping, leadership, and project management will contribute to the success and growth of our business.

• Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the project management team to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budget requirements; review project specifications, scope, and contractual obligations; coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers; monitor project progress; conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Team Management And Leadership: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of landscape crews; assign tasks and responsibilities; monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations; develop and implement training programs; foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Resource Allocation and Management: Coordinate and allocate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors; monitor utilization and efficiency; maintain accurate records of usage and expenses; coordinate with procurement for timely availability.
• Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance: Ensure activities adhere to quality standards and client expectations; implement and enforce safety protocols; conduct safety meetings and training; investigate and report accidents, incidents, or near misses.
• Client Communication and Relationship Management: Serve as point of contact, address inquiries, provide updates, resolve issues; maintain regular communication; collaborate with sales and project managers to identify opportunities; conduct final walkthroughs and gather feedback.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, change orders, and punch lists; collaborate with the project management team to prepare closeout documents; assist in preparing financial reports, cost tracking, and budget variance analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in landscape construction, installation, or project management with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, motivating and developing diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate landscape equipment.
• Requires satisfactory completion of a DMV Motor Vehicle background check.
