Job Title: LPN, Supervisor
Full Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Department: Orthopedics
Location: This position would require travel to Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, North Tampa, South Tampa, Brandon, and St. Pete.
Job Summary: LPN Supervisor, Ambulatory, has operational and clinical supervisory responsibility and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff within the department.

Essential Functions
- The Supervisor focuses on daily operations such as personnel supervision, compliance with organizational policies and procedures, facility management, patient scheduling and business‑related reporting and functions.
- Participates in the hiring, supervision, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions of assigned team members.
- Possesses a clear understanding of patient flow and processes, reviews staffing requirements daily, and makes changes to the clinic schedule to enable good patient care.
- Monitors workflow for completion of duties and conducts staffing and operations reports to communicate with all team members, managers, and providers.
- Identifies training needs for team members and facilitates development opportunities, including evaluation of training, implementation, orientation, and participation in education programs.
- Coordinates the purchase of specialized equipment and supplies utilized by the assigned clinic.
- Demonstrates knowledge of standards and recommended practices for the assigned clinic.
- Communicates appropriate information regarding the patient condition to the physician, ARNP, PA, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Able to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
- Assists physician(s) with strategies for efficiency and growth of the practice.
- Provides management reports to physicians and administration for review, practice planning, marketing, and practice development.
- Presents a positive representation of corporate and departmental services.
- Contributes to departmental effectiveness by reporting to duty on time, adhering to policy regarding breaks and mealtimes, and completing duties efficiently and effectively.
- Serves as a preceptor or mentor to other LPNs and/or medical assistants in the outpatient clinic, coaching staff to maximize performance and encouraging multidisciplinary consultation.
- Provides departmental orientation to new team members, including system software, telephone processes, protocols, office equipment usage, policies, procedures, customer service expectations, job competencies, and coaching plans.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ensures the clinic complies with all safety and regulatory guidelines and Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Educates and supervises clinical and non‑clinical staff.
- Participates in nursing PI activities as assigned under the guidance of an advance practice provider or RN.
- Practices efficient use of supplies.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized unit.
- Knows medical practice protocols and standards.
- Skilled in documentation of patient care, including reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
- Supports service line leadership by ensuring all clinic staff are compliant with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
- Successful completion of a 30‑hour approved IV therapy course may be required for specific clinics.
- Current LPN license in the State of Florida renewed every two years; maintains current BLS/Health‑Care Provider certification.
- Three (3) years of directly related experience required.
