RN Nurse, Oncology Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist
Position Summary
Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies, ANA code of ethics, and external regulatory agencies. Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission, and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to personalized patient and family centered care. They employ Duffy's quality caring model fostering collaboration, dignity, encouragement, reassurance, appreciation, healing environment, basic human needs, information sharing, self‑care, and affiliation.
The Gastrointestinal Oncology Program focuses exclusively on gastrointestinal cancers. Patients receive comprehensive treatment options including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, cryoablation, biologic therapies, and supportive care. The clinic sees an average of 100–130 patients daily.
Responsibilities- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient and family care.
- Integrate patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into nursing practice.
- Identify, document, and provide patient education based on learner needs.
- Participate in evidence‑based improvement activities related to practice area.
- Continue professional development in accordance with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
- At least 2 years as a registered nurse in GI oncology, endoscopy, outpatient clinic, or inpatient unit.
- BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Valid FL RN license.
- BCLS certification.
$34.36 – $52.20 per hour. Base pay may vary based on location, experience, education, and internal equity.
